TWS JBL TUNE 125 headphones review

Tired of tangled wires, want mobility and comfort? These are great quality for the price. I love jbl products so when I had the chance to try these out I couldn’t wait. They are noise canceling and very clear. Then wireless headphones are for you! In today’s market there are a large number of models, for all tastes and colors, as they say. Today in our review TWS JBL TUNE 125 in-ear headphones. JBL is an American company which produces speakers and audio equipment. In the review I will try to describe everything in detail so that you can make your choice.

To begin with, let’s understand what TWS (True Wireless Stereo) in English means truly wireless. The Tune 125TWS is a slight improvement on the previous 120TWS model. The headphones come in four colors: white, black, pink and blue. I have the headphones in black. A great upgrade that JBL has made with JBL Tune 125TWS is that it has a Type-C USB charging port as opposed to a Micro USB charging port on JBL Tune 120TWS. Like most in-ear headphones, the JBL Tune 125 TWS have exceptional frequency response consistency, though there’s some variance in the treble range.

Appearance

The headphone case is a rectangle with rounded edges. Dimensions – 65x55x25 mm, weight with headphones – 74 grams. The material is plastic with a matte finish and feels pleasant to the touch. The lid of the case has no latches and stays closed by magnetic fixing. The case is easy to open with one hand, although some not cheap models from famous brands do not always cope with this task. It even feels like it opens too easily, but it only seems that way. The headphones in the case are also fixed with magnets and sit on special contacts in the form of three gold-plated pins on springs. Removing the headphones from the case is quick and easy. When the lid is closed the headphones do not dangle inside. The assembly is of high quality, no squeaks or backlashes. On the back side there is quite an impressive hinge on which the lid is attached. Under the special groove for easy opening of the case is a charge indicator, consisting of three white LEDs.

The headphones are made of glossy plastic, each of them has a light indicator, a microphone and a multifunctional rubberized button of round shape with the inscription JBL. They have an ergonomic oblong shape with comfortable sides for grip. The size and weight is quite impressive, each headphone weighs about 7 grams. Each is labeled L and R (left and right respectively). They do not fit in the case any other way.

Functionality and performance of jbl tune 125tws

Headphones do not fall out when walking, so they fit in the earcup without any problem and stay there with confidence. If you sweat or run, they tend to fall out, but for sports this model is not intended. At first I felt uncomfortable with the weight, but then you get used to it and it doesn’t cause any discomfort. The buttons are mechanical, so there is no false operation.

The battery capacity of the case 850 mA, charges just under two hours. The battery capacity of the headphone 85 mA, it is stated to work up to 8 hours (I have one charge works for about 6 hours). Together with the case, the charge lasts up to 32 hours of work. In 15 minutes of charging in the case the headphones are charged for 1 hour of work.

The headphones have a Fast Pair feature. Connecting takes about 5 seconds. Signal quality at a distance of 10 meters is stable and without interference. Pairing is stable without interruptions or delays in sound transmission.

The microphone is very good for TWS headphones, the sound is clear and understandable. When walking, the interlocutor can hear you well if there are no strong noise sources nearby.

The sound in this model is quality and balanced. The sound is clear with a relatively flat frequency response. There is a proprietary technology “Pure Bass”, the bass is deep enough, although does not make on itself the main emphasis. In terms of genres, there is no particular difference, more or less universal.

Passive sound insulation works great, when walking outside it muffles all the extraneous minor sounds.

Pros and cons of truly wireless in-ear headphones

+Pros:

  • Autonomous running time.
  • Works as a mono headset
  • Sound quality
  • Quick pairing

-Cons:

  • The case gets rusty quickly and leaves fingerprints
  • at its lowest volume works quite loudly (more of a nitpick of mine)
  • weight is large, but over time you get used to
  • When you press the button headphone is pressed into the ear Uncomfortable to wear a hat

Conclusion

Nice design and high quality build. Quality sound for its price segment. It is fast and stable connection. I’ve been using it for half a year now, only positive emotions, but the final decision about the purchase is up to you.
