Sony different sizes OLED 2022.
Sony announced its first QD-OLED (A95K) TV, which uses blue OLEDs combined with quantum dots to create richer reds and greens. “With millions of individual self-luminous pixels, the A95K provides more color than ever before. As a result, the viewer gets a whole new viewing experience. This innovation helps convey the true intent of the creator.” This statement was made by Sony.
Sony’s flagship 2022 lineup OLED TV series, the A95K with a panel from Samsung Display, will be available in 55 – and 65 – inch diagonals. This series will have 4K resolution and a “Sony XR cognitive processor.” Owners of these TVs can place a tabletop stand either in the back (to hide the stand behind the TV) or in the front.
With the introduction of the A95K, Sony is expanding its new OLED panel lineup and is no longer relying solely on LG Display, its main OLED panel supplier. The A90K series will use LG Display’s WOLED panel, which will be available in 42- and 48-inch diagonals.
This series will be a step below last year’s A90J, which will continue to be available in 2022. The Sony A80K will replace the A80J as Sony’s more affordable OLED model. The A80K will be available in 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch screen diagonals. All three models will inherit 2021 features such as two hdmi 2.1 ports with 4K hdr10 and dolby vision,120hz refresh rate, VRR(variable refresh rate support) and new PlayStation 5 features.
Sony Mini LED TV 2022.

Unlike TCL, which first introduced miniLED TVs in 2020, Sony made the move in 2022. The mini – LED TVs backlight is controlled by the “XR Backlight Master Drive” system. Sony said it has optimized this technology to reduce blooming while maintaining contrast and high peak brightness.
It’s worth noting that some mini-LED-based LCD TVs still suffer from a strong glow. This artifact shows up even more than in more traditional LCD TVs with zone dimming. Therefore, careful testing is required to determine the exact performance. Sony’s Z9K series of 8K TVs will also feature Mini LED backlighting.
Sony X80K
The Sony X80K is the entry-level in Sony’s 2022 TV lineup. It replaces the Sony X80J and is below the Sony X85K. Compared to higher-end models, it is rather limited functionally. It lacks variable refresh rate (VRR) support and HDMI 2.1 ports, and the panel updates no more than 60 times per second. AirPlay and Chromecast support.
Sony X90K.and full-array LED
The popular Sony X90K series does not have mini-LED backlighting. It will still come with local dimming. The X90K will also uses Sony’s “cognitive processor XR,” which was first introduced in 2021. The X90K series will be available in 55-, 65-, 75- and 85-inch diagonals. Still, the X90K is, quite literally, a brilliant buy for those who want the best Sony TV for a brightly-lit room. The X90K features the same XR Cognitive Processor tech as its more expensive counterparts, and has a precise Full Array LED panel for clear excellent picture quality. It’s the best choice Sony TVs you can buy.
Peak brightness.
In terms of peak brightness, the Z9K, X95K and X90K series have XR Contrast Booster 20, 15 and 10 respectively. Sony doesn’t provide actual numbers, but the number indicates that it’s a multiple over conventional LCD TVs. Therefore, we should expect the Z9K to reach between 2,000 and 4,000 nits. According to Sony, the X90K will have a higher peak brightness than TV last year’s X90J series.
HDMI 2.1 feature.
Almost all of Sony’s 2022 TVs (X85K and up) will get HDMI 2.1 features. These are 4K at 120 Hz, VRR (variable refresh rate), ALLM (automatic game mode switching) and eARC (enhanced audio return channel). These models will also come with support for the new PS 5 features.
Google TV
Also, like the 2021, all Sony 2022 models are equipped with the Google TV smart platform. It has quick access to streaming apps: Netflix, YouTube, Disney +, HBO MAX and Amazon Prime Video, and it features a microphone that lets you use the excellent Google voice search.. Sony features will be highlighted in the main menu.
Sony Smart TV sets support downloadable apps like those that you can find on a cell phone or tablet.
All TVs from Sony X80K and up have an advanced adaptive calibration mode for Netflix. This mode can automatically adjust brightness levels based on room lighting. TV series such as the Z9K, X95K and X90K have a new remote control. It has 25 buttons instead of the 49 buttons of the 2021 remote control. Accordingly, this remote is smaller in size.

Bravia Core.
Bravia Core is a preloaded movie service that includes movies that can be redeemed. With the purchase of a Bravia XR TV, users can use this service with unlimited streaming for free for 24 months.
Thanks to Pure Stream and IMAX Enhanced technology, content on Bravia Core features distinctive picture and sound quality and stunning visuals. Bravia Core will be available in more than 75 countries within 2022. At least that’s what Sony says.
Acoustic Multi-Audio.
Sony’s top three LCD TVs have “Acoustic Multi-Audio.” Sony has placed four (Z9K) tweeters in the body of the TV so that dialogue comes straight from the screen. The X95K, X90K series has two tweeters instead of four. The tweeters and woofers are placed along the bottom of the cabinet. This is not the same as the Acoustic Surface Audio in Sony OLED models. The Sony OLED TV uses the OLED panel itself as the speakers.
Sony Bravia 2022 TV lineup and feature
Below we have compiled a list of Sony 2022 TV models, which we expect to see on the shelves of USA stores. There is no information about the prices of new Sony TV 2022 yet. During the year, we will try to post separate reviews for each series.
Sony TVs technology in 2022. What’s new
Like world TV leaders like LG and Samsung, Sony Electronics presented at CES 2022 not only the second-generation Bravia XR, but also its new Master Series, based on hybrid QD-OLED technology. In addition, Sony presented new technologies, which the manufacturer is going to equip its TVs in 2022. What is new in Sony TVs?
New technologies in Sony TV 2022
Among the technological advances the company announced at the show are the first TV models with QD-OLED hybrid panels, as well as the first Sony LCD TVs with backlights that use Mini-LED technology. This backlighting provides brighter lighting and accurate colors.
In addition, Sony continues to offer lines of models based on premium 4K OLED and LCD displays. This includes OLED models using more traditional WOLED panels, as well as lines of LED-backlit TVs that are significantly less expensive.
Sony uses again its XR cognitive processor, first introduced in 2021, in all of its high-end series. Image processing with this processor is based on the human visual system. As a result, the viewer gets more feeling and emotion from what he sees after watching it. The processor supports specially created Bravia Core streaming content from Sony’s new premium TV streaming service.

XR Backlight Master Drive.
The patented XR Backlight Master Drive technology is used to precisely control Mini-LED backlighting with thousands of mini-LEDs. Two Sony TVs will get this technology in 2022. These are the Sony Master Series Z9K TV, which has 8K resolution, and the X95K series of Mini-LED TVs from the 4K category.
4K Smart QD-OLED.
New 4K QD-OLED models will appear in the Sony A95K series. This new panel technology is based on a hybrid implementation that combines color enhancement and brightness improvement from red and green quantum dot converters in tandem with an OLED panel with self-emitting blue LEDs. Self-emitting OLED panel technology also provides very wide viewing angles with high brightness and contrast, brightness and color reproduction.
QD-OLED, for those who are just hearing about it, combines the self-emissive organic light-emitting diodes that give OLED its perfect black levels with the color saturation of quantum dots.
XR Triluminos Max | TV technology
Sony has announced that the XR Cognitive Processor will improve A95K image performance with its XR Triluminos Max color processing. The company says it will provide “naturally beautiful colors and tones” as well as “the broadest color palette.” This technology uses millions of individual self-luminous pixels to create bright, direct light and color volume.
Acoustic Surface Audio+ and Acoustic Multi-Audio
In terms of sound, Sony will continue to use advanced Acoustic Surface Audio+ technology for OLED models and Acoustic Multi-Audio for LCD models. These technologies are designed to match the position of the sound with the image on the screen.
The result will be that sounds and dialog will appear to follow people and objects as they move around in the frame. The lineup also includes new features that aim to improve streaming services.
Bravia Core.
Netflix was among the first implementations of adaptive and calibrated mode. The TV automatically adjusts image processing depending on the surrounding light. So now users’ favorite shows and movies will look the way their creator intended.
In addition, Sony’s new Bravia Core / Netflix adaptive calibrated mode automatically adjusts the quality of the picture on the screen to better match the original intent of the filmmaker. Bravia Core is Sony’s streaming content service designed for higher-quality picture and sound playback.
It is based on the TV’s built-in Cognitive XR Processing and IMAX Enhanced image and sound processing. This feature provides access to a number of new and classic movies. It also includes IMAX Enhanced’s largest movie collection and lossless UHD quality content with Pure Stream. However, only some Sony 2022 TVs will have this technology.
PS5 and Xbox Series X compatibility.
In addition, all Bravia XR 2022 TVs will be “perfect for PlayStation 5.” This ensures that when pairing the Bravia XR TV with the PlayStation 5 console, the user will get the best for gaming experience by automatically adjusting and optimizing the picture according to the best settings for gamers.
Support for HDMI 4K / 120 fps additionally provides smooth and crisp motion for fast gaming response. After a firmware update it has Auto Low Latency Mode support, so you can play a game with low input lag without switches any settings. It still has an Auto Picture Mode that works with the PS5 and Xbox Series X, so it switches into Game Mode when you play a game from those consoles.
Auto HDR Tone Mapping.
Sony also provides support for new PS5-exclusive features, including Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode, which are designed to automatically adjust basic picture settings to match the type of content on your screen. Auto HDR Tone Mapping will increase color and brightness levels for HDR content to match the highest capabilities of the display.

This will only become available after future firmware updates for both PlayStation 5 consoles and supported TVs. Updates can be installed automatically or through a custom option. According to Sony, to activate Auto Tone Mapping, the feature must be enabled the first time the TV and PS5 are paired.
Otherwise, users will need to disconnect the TV and PS5, perform a reset, and then enable the feature during the initial setup. HDR Auto Tone Mapping will only be supported when the PS5 and TV are directly connected. Suitable models include all models from Bravia XR as well as X85K, X85J, X80K, X80J, X90H.
Auto Genre Picture quality Mode
Auto Genre Picture Mode will also become active after firmware updates on PlayStation 5 consoles and TVs. Installation will occur either automatically or manually, depending on whether the user has enabled the automatic firmware update option on the device. This feature only works when the PS5 and TV are directly connected. Suitable models include all the same Bravia XR models as well as the X85K, X85J, X80K, X80J, X90H series.
Bravia Cam.
Also in 2022, Sony will introduce a newly developed original device called the Bravia Cam into some TV models. The built-in camera is designed to capture and recognize where users are sitting near the screen. This is needed to optimize picture and sound settings for the best possible picture experience.
The proprietary camera is also designed to receive gesture control commands, assist viewers in video chats and for other new features. According to Sony, in addition to the video chat feature, most of the new Bravia Cam features will be available through a future firmware update.
Road to Zero
In addition, Sony said in 2022 that all of its products were designed in accordance with a global environmental plan that Sony calls “Road to Zero.” This global environmental plan, aims to achieve zero environmental impact by 2050.
