When there is no box
You will need a special air-bubble film, corrugated cardboard. Instead of film, you can use a soft plaid or other means that will protect the screen during transportation.
Packed equipment should be placed vertically. If transported in the car, the device is placed on the back seat, with the screen facing the backrest. Additionally, the device can be secured with passenger seat belts. Do not place any sharp objects near the seat.
Rules for moving a TV in a box:
You can’t drag it across the floor. Do not place the box on its side or tilt it to either side. Avoid excessive vibration and shaking during transportation. At least two people are required to move TVs over 32″.
Do not transport your TV lying on any side or across the back of the vehicle. We recommend that you place your digital equipment in its natural position, upright, with its screen facing the side of the vehicle.
It is necessary to pack the TV in a “factory” box with molded foam elements and seal it tightly. Or, as mentioned above, use air bubble wrap and corrugated cardboard. Place the box with the TV upright in the cargo compartment of the car, securing it with shipping straps
Turn off your LCD TV in advance so it has time to cool down.
Pack it thoroughly and wrap it additionally with stretch film on top.
Do not remove the wrapping within 2 to 3 hours at the new location.
Do not turn on the TV until it has reached room temperature.
It is allowed to carry TVs, radios and other equipment (regardless of whether the passenger has hand luggage) no more than one per travel document only in cars with sleeping places (non-compartment, compartment and soft) long distance and local trains, as well as in all cars of suburban trains.
When transporting the plasma screen horizontally, even upside down, is categorically not recommended by the manufacturers, because in this position the equipment is particularly sensitive to vibration and shock, so the electrical circuits can be damaged, and the TV after moving will be out of order.
Lift the TV, preferably with someone else, and slide it into the box. Wrap the box with duct tape and carry it to the car. The main thing is not to lay the TV flat: you risk damaging the screen. If the TV needs to be put down, put it with the screen up – mark the fragile side of the box with a marker.
If a working product is not suitable in color, size or any other characteristics, it is legally possible to exchange it, but in this case the store can refuse to accept it if it loses the appearance of the product and there is no packaging. After the two-week period, it is useless to keep the boxes and you can safely throw them away.
The following steps are planned for packaging: Attaching the cord to the body by means of masking tape. Protecting the screen from scratches with bubble wrap + insulating with a soft cloth. Wrapping the TV with sheets of Styrofoam will help against bumps and chipped corners.
You should wait until the TV has warmed up to room temperature. Condensation forms on cold items in warm rooms. Once it has warmed up to room temperature, the condensation will dry out and will not pose a threat to the operation of the TV
If the absolute humidity is the same, the relative humidity increases as the temperature goes down, and when it reaches 100%, the moisture condenses on the cold surface) – that’s why it’s better not to turn the TV on for two hours after bringing it in from the cold (the first couple of minutes, until
The simplest and most important rule is to NEVER turn your electronics on right after you bring them from the freezing cold into a warm room. Let it warm up – at least 2 hours! This is so that it becomes the same temperature as the air in the room.
The life of your TV depends a lot on the type of display. The cheapest option is the LCD screen, which is designed for a maximum of 70,000 hours of active use.
